The Gomeda Ultra Trail isn't just a race; it's a journey. It's an experience that transforms your body and soul, supporting you in your struggle with yourself, nature, and time. You'll encounter traces of the past as you traverse millennia-old tunnels, and you'll feel the true meaning of freedom as you navigate the shadows of rocks and forest paths.

With our trail options suitable for all levels, you can experience your first trail experience or test yourself on technical and challenging routes.


Combined with the natural richness and mystical atmosphere of the Gomeda Valley, this race is poised to become one of the most special ultra trail events of the year.

  • Terrain: Rocky trails, dirt roads, historic stone passages, and occasional stabilized paths

  • Route: Mustafapaşa → Gomeda Valley → Ortahisar → Göreme → Üzengi Valley → Mustafapaşa

  • GPX Files: Will be shared one month before the race

  • Marking: Colored flags, reflective tape, directional arrows, and eco-friendly paint

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • 5 km & 10 km: Declaration of good health on the registration form

  • Under-18 participants: Parental consent form required

  • 19 km: Age 18+ and a valid health report not older than 6 months

  • 30 km & 47 km: Age 18+; recommended to have completed at least one trail race in the past two years

  • All categories: Valid health report (within 6 months) or sport license mandatory

  • Participants must accept the online liability waiver during registration

MANDATORY EQUIPMENT


(Required for 50 km & 30 km; recommended for 19 km)

  • Minimum 1 L water container

  • Emergency blanket

  • Whistle

  • Windbreaker (light rainproof)

  • Energy gels/food (min. 500 kcal)

  • Mobile phone (with organizer’s contact pre-loaded)

  • Cup or collapsible cup system

Random equipment checks will be conducted before and during the race. Missing mandatory gear will result in disqualification.

SUPPLY & CHECKPOINTS

  • Aid stations approximately every 10 km (or as needed)

  • Supplies: water, isotonic drinks, salt, bananas, nuts, cookies

  • Select stations will have medical staff on duty

  • Mounted and off-road vehicle patrol teams along the course

SAFETY & MEDICAL

  • Sufficient ambulance teams on standby throughout the event

  • Course security mapped in coordination with AFAD (Disaster Management) and Gendarmerie

  • Race may be halted or rerouted due to severe weather

  • Emergency contact numbers collected from all participants

CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY

  • Up to 45 days before event: 80 % refund

  • Up to 30 days before event: 50 % refund

  • Within 30 days: No refund, name transfers accepted

  • If cancelled due to force majeure or severe weather: 75 % refund

RANKING & AWARDS

  • Top 1 male & female in each course: Trophy + sponsor prize

  • Age-group medals (-40, 40-49 ve 50+)

  • Commemorative medal for all finishers

  • Special award for youngest & oldest finishers

  • UTMB Index application for compliant finishers (subject to organizer’s submission)

DISQUALIFICATION & RULES

Participants will be disqualified for:

  • Straying off course

  • Environmental pollution or removing markers

  • Lacking mandatory equipment

  • Ignoring officials’ decisions

  • Using unauthorized support vehicles

  • Intentionally impeding another runner

Disqualified athletes forfeit medals and official rankings.

WAIVER & LIABILITY

By registering, all participants agree that:

  • The organizer is not responsible for health issues

  • They certify personal fitness for the race

  • Photographs and videos taken during the event may be used for promotional purposes
